The Stewart Family { Sandra Jackson Photography}

This family. Man do they have a piece of my heart! Their mama and I met while helping to create Chicken Coop Studio 306, a nonprofit art and education studio in Emlenton, PA. (Seriously, check it out! ) From  the moment I met Sara we clicked.  Our parenting styles (can you call chaos a style) are similar. We both laugh at jokes that involve vegetables (cucumber!) and we love coffee.  If we had nothing else  in common, the coffee would be enough. We talked for months about doing photos.  Sara, more than most, knows the impirtance of capturing the moment. So when the big day ended up being the coldest if the year, we didn't  hesitate. We just layered on the snow suits and went about the business of capturing the beauty that is winter in PA.

I adore this image. The colors and those sweet frozen faces.
Daph almost got the jump down. I love how she's just hanging on for whatever comes next.
These two. Love love love their love story.

This green garage door is the stuff of photographer dreams and all those coat colors just made me swoon!

The Barnard House: Mother's Day Tea

Nestled along the banks of the Allegheny in Emlenton, PA sits a rare treasure.  The Barnard House Bed and Breakfast is owned by Paul and Cathy  Kentzel who have lovingly and painstakingly restored this home to it's former  glory, creating  a unique and wonderful place for  relaxation along the river. On Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a Mother's Day tea hosted at The Barnard House.  Paul and Cathy thought of every detail from handmade honey lollypops for the tea to hand written menus.  Guests were treated to culinary creations from Delicious Dishes, macaroons from Do The Macaroona,  a presentation from Lavender Green lavender farm, and a special gift from Meant To Bee flower farm.  The weather man had predicted storms, but it turned out to be a beautiful day along the river. Grandmother's, mother's, daughter's, and friends joined together in celebration of women. If you're looking for a comfortable and inviting place to stay while adventuring in the area you should make The Barnard House the top of your list.

Morgan & Dakota: Senior Prom {Sandra Jackson Photography}

These two are so cute!  It was freezing cold ( hello! It's May!  Where's the sun?) But these two were troopers. I love doing prom sessions. Fancy dresses, tuxedos, cute couples, but none of the pressure of a wedding. What's not to love?

Fresia: Butler High School {Sandra Jackson Photography}

I met up with Fresia and her mom in downtown Buttler.  We had so much fun exploring and finding unique locations. fresia is fun and full of energy and great ideas. She plans to attend NYU. How cool is that?! Whatever the future holds, I know she will be amazing!

Afton: Keystone Highschool {Sandra Jackson Photography}

Sunflower fields and a romper! How did I get so lucky? Afton attends high schools at Keystone where she is a cheerleader. Afton, her mom, and I went to Camp Coffman for a few photos and then headed to a sunflower field. It was a beautiful day and Afton did not disappoint. She also wanted some fun fall photos with her boyfriend so we met up once the leaves changed. Congrats Afton. I hope your senior year has been amazing and I look forward to seeing all the great things the future has in store for you!
