Lauren & Leah Take 2 {Sandra Jackson Photography Western PA}

This my second time photographing these lovely girls and we had so much fun!  What isn't fun about a session that includes dresses, a leaf fight, and Halloween costumes? We met at one of my favorite locations, Clear Creek State Park, on a fabulous fall day.

Thanks so much for letting me take your photos girls!  It was truly my pleasure!

Bryan Brookville, PA High School Senior {Western PA Photographer}

I first met Bryan at his sister, Amanda's, wedding.  He was a part of the most fun wedding part ever! I was very excited to take his senior photos for him.  we met at Clear Creek State Park, one of my favorite locations.  We weren't sure if the weather would hold out or not, and in fact he had to wait in the rain.  He is such a good sport! He put up  with this crazy photographer and her hilarious posing ideas!

Bryan, I hope you have an amazing senior year!  Enjoy every minute of it!

Kathleen & Chris Elopement Foxburg, PA {Western PA Photographer}

It was a perfect evening for a wedding.  Just as the sun set Kat and Chris met to exchange their vows on a deck overlooking the Allegheny River in Foxburg, PA.  As I watched them exchange vows I imagined my own grandparents eloping several decades ago.  I wondered if they had the same stars in their eyes, the same love struck look that Kat and Chris wore.   There was an entire world around them, but all they seemed to notice was one another.

Congratulations Kat and Chris. I wish you many years of happy crazy love!

Tessa & Joe Married at The Silver Fox Theater Part 1 {Western PA Photographer}

Her first words to him were "I want to kiss your face."  That's all it took for Tessa to sweep Joe off his feet.  Though she had seen him and knew of him it took her best friend and maid of honor, Joelle to finally bring these two together.  He proposed on a winter day in Pittsburgh.  She said "Yes!" and the rest, as they say, is history.
It's a history that hasn't been written yet.  Often times at wedding I pause in the middle of my work and watch the smiling faces of people dancing and celebrating.  I look at the bride and groom and can't help but be caught up in their moment.  They don't know it yet, but this is the good stuff.  Forever stretches in front of them and, despite their planning, the journey ahead is a complete mystery.  But this day, surrounded by friends and family, is their starting point; the place they can always return to when they are missing the smile of a loved  one, or when they need reminding of why they began this journey in the first place.
Tessa and Joe, I wish you every joy and happiness on the journey ahead.  I hope that these moments from your wedding day will be a visual reminder of all the love that surrounds you.

Arron & Amanda say "I Do" (Sandra Jackson Photography) Parker, Pennsylvania

     Make your way south on Division Ave. until the road narrows to a path lined with trees.  Follow that path until you come to a clearing.  There, nestled in a forest of Pennsylvania  pines lies Maggie's Marina. This was their sanctuary.  The rustling of leaves and bird's song was their music.   I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place for Arron and Amanda to say "I do!".   The quiet and serene backdrop was the perfect setting for a small and intimate ceremony celebrating their union as husband and wife.

     Amanda will be the first to tell you that the day didn't start as planned.  What wedding ever does?  Missing keys and the possibility of rain made for an interesting morning.  Just when it seemed like nothing would go as planned, the sun came out, hair was styled. and make-up was applied.  Everything came together just as it was meant to and these two had an amazing and beautiful day.

     This last photo of their first dance moves me.  At the end of a long journey to become man and wife there is always the pause.  The gentle knowing that this is the one.  I think this photo captures that moment better than any photo I've taken at a wedding.

    Congratulations Arron and Amanda.  I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.

Understand, I’ll slip quietly
Away from the noisy crowd
When I see the pale
Stars rising, blooming over the oaks
I’ll pursue solitary pathways
Through the pale twilit meadows,
With only this one dream:
You come too.

Tessa & Joe {Engagement}

Tessa's mom works for the daycare Hayden goes to.  I gave her my card one evening and the next day I had an e-mail from Tessa.  She wanted to take engagement sessions in the snow.  I'm always up for an adventure so we scheduled and early morning time.  Little did we know it would be 6 degrees and we'd get plenty of snow!  The session was held on her cousins farm in the early morning hours.  Tess and Joe were so much fun!  It was cold. Scratch that! It was REALLY COLD!

I'm in love with every image from their session and I can't wait for the wedding!
