The Barnard House: Mother's Day Tea
Nestled along the banks of the Allegheny in Emlenton, PA sits a rare treasure. The Barnard House Bed and Breakfast is owned by Paul and Cathy Kentzel who have lovingly and painstakingly restored this home to it's former glory, creating a unique and wonderful place for relaxation along the river. On Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a Mother's Day tea hosted at The Barnard House. Paul and Cathy thought of every detail from handmade honey lollypops for the tea to hand written menus. Guests were treated to culinary creations from Delicious Dishes, macaroons from Do The Macaroona, a presentation from Lavender Green lavender farm, and a special gift from Meant To Bee flower farm. The weather man had predicted storms, but it turned out to be a beautiful day along the river. Grandmother's, mother's, daughter's, and friends joined together in celebration of women. If you're looking for a comfortable and inviting place to stay while adventuring in the area you should make The Barnard House the top of your list.
Afton: Keystone Highschool {Sandra Jackson Photography}
Sunflower fields and a romper! How did I get so lucky? Afton attends high schools at Keystone where she is a cheerleader. Afton, her mom, and I went to Camp Coffman for a few photos and then headed to a sunflower field. It was a beautiful day and Afton did not disappoint. She also wanted some fun fall photos with her boyfriend so we met up once the leaves changed. Congrats Afton. I hope your senior year has been amazing and I look forward to seeing all the great things the future has in store for you!
